Conveying Conventional Conveyor Wisdom....
As much as we try to avoid stating the obvious, the purpose of any conveyor is to move items from Point A to Point B. There are many examples of conveying all around us. Airports use them to transport people and luggage. Grocery stores use them to move products to the scanner. Even ski resorts are replacing the dreaded "tow rope" with conveyors on "bunny slopes" now to transport beginner skiiers up to the top of the hill! Our discussion is, however, going to be limited to the multitude of configurations of conveyors used in the Packaging Machinery Industry.
