A liquid filling machine can often be equipped with a "clean in place" or CIP system. The CIP system can save time and labor by removing the need to have an operator take the time to disassemble, wipe down, clean and reassemble certain components of the liquid filler.
The CIP system can be built into the filler PLC (Programmable Logic Controller). Once production is completed, the operator can simple initiate the process by pressing a button on the PLC. Hot water or a cleaning fluid can then be flushed through the tank, tubes, nozzles and product pathway to clean the filling machine and ready it for the next production run.
