Positive shut off valves or nozzles can be helpful for products that tend to string and/or drip.  Product supply to a normal fill head is usually cut off by a valve along the product pathway, possibly near the filler supply tank or near a fill bar.

A positive shut off nozzle is a special filler nozzle that closes the product supply at the tip of the nozzle, which in turn provides leak-free shut off of the product supply!

Positive shut off nozzles come standard on the Automatic Piston Filler and can be added to almost any filling machine.
