The Semi-Automatic Portable Chuck Capper is manufactured with adjustable friction clutches that allow varying torque when capping containers. 

In general, the friction clutches interrupt the rotation of the chuck on the chuck capper when torque reaches a certain limit.  This feature of the Semi-Automatic Portable Chuck Capper allows different caps and containers to be used on the machine without fear of crushing or marring light weight caps or containers by limiting the amount of torque output from the chuck capper.
