The bottle debagger will feed containers out of the machine in a single row.  As the tiers are presented for discharge, they press against a backer bar that works in conjunction with an indexing gate to stop containers from moving down the take away conveyor.  A hold down mechanism applies pressure to the top of the second row of containers.  Once the hold down mechanism is in place, the backer bar retracts and the indexing gate opens allowing a single row of containers to exit the bottle debagger.
