Not surprisingly, the chuck is the heart of the chuck capping machine!  Each chuck capper manufactured by Liquid Packaging Solutions will come equipped with a brushed aluminum chuck, or chucks, depending on the range of cap sizes you are using.  

The chuck works together with a chuck insert (normally made of rubber, though custom materials are available!) to grab the cap and apply the correct amount of torque to seal the container. 

Chucks for each chuck capper manufactured by LPS are available in different sizes to accomodate different cap types and sizes.  Though the chuck inserts can be used to run different cap sizes using one chuck, very small caps and very large caps will require different size chucks.  But even if your production calls for a large range of cap sizes, chucks for the chuck cappers are quickly and easily interchangeable!
