Liquid Packaging Solutions Holiday Hours - Thanksgiving
While Liquid Packaging Solutions normal business hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday, there will be a slight change this week for the Thanksgiving holiday. LPS will be closed on both Thursday, November 22nd and Friday, November 23rd. The company will reopen at 8 a.m. on Monday the 26th of November.
While LPS won't be open for Black Friday, the holiday season is a good time to ensure that wear and spare parts are fully stocked in house to avoid downtime during what can be a hectic holiday season. Wear parts are normally those parts found on rinsing machines, liquid fillers, capping equipment and more that come in contact with bottles, caps or some other component of the package. This contact can cause wear over time, which requires replacement to ensure consistent and reliable performance. For example, nozzle seals on an overflow filler can wear over time by repeatedly contacting the bottle top. Similarly, the disks used to tighten caps on the spindle capping machine can be worn down over time by constantly brushing up against caps.
Each machine, including conveyor systems, will normally have some wear parts. Keeping these parts at the site of the packaging ensures that the most typical performance issues with packaging machinery can be quickly and easily solved by exchanging the worn parts, avoiding shipping and out of stock delays. For any packager that may not be sure what exactly constitutes a wear part, the LPS Parts & Service Department is always available to assist, consult and explain in identifying the best parts to keep on hand. Also, while LPS tries to keep in stock all wear parts for the machines manufactured in La Porte, Indiana, many of you know that the company also offers integration services. Just like with packaging lines, LPS keeps OEM parts in stock as well, in an attempt to make the company a one stop service shop for machinery and packaging parts.
As the holiday season quickly approaches, we wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving this week, as well as a prosperous December as we all head in to 2019! As always, LPS looks forward to working with our family of packagers and anticipates adding to that family as we finish up another year.
