LPS Holiday Hours - 2019 Fourth of July
The rain has stopped (for now) and somehow we are already approaching the 4th of July holiday in 2019! It's been an eventful first half of the year at Liquid Packaging Solutions as lines have been completed for distilled spirits, CBD oils, industrial chemicals and much more. In addition, individual machines have been completed for just about every industry imaginable! with a busy production schedule ahead to follow these projects up, LPS will take a short break next week! The shop doors will be closed at LPS on Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th, 2019 to honor our country as well as remember one of our own LPS family members. The offices will be closed on both days as well.
On Thursday, July 5th, 2018, Zac Mago - son, brother, friend, athlete and LPS team member, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep from Sudden Cardiac Arrest. In addition to being on the Student Council, on the Class Board, an outstanding student and an incredibly talented basketball player, Zac was literally a friend to everyone who knew him. He was known for helping others in a number of different ways, including his favorite Shop with a Player Program, which helped those less fortunate in his community.
In honor of Zac, the Mago family started the Zac Mago Foundation, a nonprofit organization based out of North Liberty, Indiana. The foundation raises money to bring awareness, education and prevention to Sudden Cardiac Arrest by, among other things, providing free heart screenings for teens that allows certain heart conditions to be caught and treated that may otherwise go undetected with a typical physical exam. Fundraisers range from golf outings and fishing tournaments to silent auctions and other events, with proceeds from each of the events allowing for more and more potential life saving screenings.
So as we at LPS celebrate the 4th of July, we will also celebrate the life of Zac Mago and his continued positive effect on other's lives through his Foundation, both this year and every year hereafter. The production floor and the LPS offices will reopen on Monday, July 8th, 2019, ready to move into the second half of the year with current and new projects. All of us at LPS wish everyone a safe and happy holiday weekend and a prosperous start to July!
