Turning Packaging Challenges into Machinery at LPS

Every packaging line manufactured is unique in some way, just as every liquid and bottle combination running through those packaging lines will be different. This is why, at Liquid Packaging Solutions (LPS), innovation is important to every machine or line we build, from simple semi-automatic fillers for start-up companies to complete high-speed inline packaging systems for larger packagers. We take these challenges, large and small, and transform them into job-specific, custom packaging machinery built for efficiency, consistency, and reliability.

Understanding Each Unique Packaging Challenge

The process of creating the perfect machine or system for any packager starts long before the first part of the machine is fabricated. Each packaging project begins with a thorough understanding of the product, the container, the production goals and all of the various factors that may affect the process. Whether it’s a thick personal care product, a thin sports beverage, or a foamy cleaning solution, our team evaluates each product and bottle characteristic, from the viscosity to fill volume, along with speed requirements and unique characteristics to begin to design the most effective system. Our commitment to customization ensures that every liquid filling machine, every capping machine, even every conveyor and turntable, is built for success based on the needs of each individual packager and project.

Designing the Best Overall Solution

Once the requirements are defined, the equipment can be designed. LPS engineers and packaging specialists work together to design the best machinery, providing line layouts and starting the process to envision where and how the equipment will work in the packaging facility. Each piece of equipment is built from the best suited materials like stainless steel or even HDPE where corrosion resistant equipment is necessary. But it is not just the best materials that are considered. The best layout for each given facility will be used, the most efficient cleaning solutions will be incorporated, and the best overall design will create a packaging machine or system to save both time and money.

Manufacturing and Testing

Once designed, LPS equipment is built at the La Porte, Indiana facility, with every stage of production and testing overseen by our Packaging Specialists. From the fabrication of parts to the assembly to the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for the customer, LPS takes pride in not just our equipment, but the process that creates it. Testing equipment at the LPS facility not only allows the customer to confirm that the packaging machinery works as expected, but also keeps the tools on hand to quickly modify to upgrade equipment when needed or desired. This approach ensures that each machine or line is ready for production upon installation.

Support Beyond the Build

At LPS we do not stop after manufacturing is complete. Our team offers integration and installation services, operator training, and ongoing technical support to keep every system running efficiently. The Parts and Service Department collaborates with customers after the delivery of the equipment to provide support throughout the life of the machinery, including offering replacement parts and even upgrading equipment to keep up with a customer’s evolving packaging machinery needs.

By providing support from the design of the packaging equipment to the parts, upgrades, and technical support of the everyday production runs, Liquid Packaging Solutions is able to be more than just a manufacture of machinery. We pride ourselves on providing a packaging partner to every business that trusts us with their packaging needs.
