Once in place, the operator will also activate the fill cycle by stepping on a foot switch or pressing a finger switch. Once filled, the same operator will remove the bottles from the fill area and repeat the process.

Tabletop filling machines can use the same fill principles found on their automatic counterparts, including the overflow principle to fill to a level and gravity or piston to fill by volume, among others. Also like their automatic counterparts, tabletop machines can usually be upgraded to grow with a company. The simple upgrade will involve the addition of fill heads up to a specific limit, depending on the type of liquid filler used for the project. So a packager that starts with a two head machine can effectively double their output by adding an additional two heads as production demand increases! Tabletop fillers can also work in tandem with other packaging machinery, such as rinsing, capping and labeling equipment, to create a compact, yet still efficient, packaging system that can be run by one or multiple operators.
