Pack Expo 2014 Brings Many Industries Together
PACK EXPO 2014 Brings Many Industries Together
This past week Liquid Packaging Solutions attended PACK EXPO International at the McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. As anyone who has been paying attention to our website already knows, PACK EXPO is a packaging and processing trade show co-located this year with Pharma EXPO in Chicago. This trade show allows LPS, and others in the packaging industry, to showcase equipment, components and technology to the end users of the products. But one of the things that makes this show special for us at LPS is that it brings together attendees from nearly every industry imaginable!
Over a four day period, LPS Packaging Specialists spoke with representatives from companies looking to package, among other things:
- Bottled Water
- Energy Drinks
- Distilled Spirits
- Pharmaceuticals & More!
While all of these products have been run previously on LPS machinery, PACK EXPO gives us the opportunity to not only speak to people from a range of industries, but to gauge which products and industries are set to expand or grow in the coming year. Some of the products, such as bottled water and condiments, have been common products for LPS since the company began, while others, such as distilled spirits and new products like E-liquids, are only now becoming more common. And every once in awhile, we get to experience a truly new, or custom project with a product that we simply have not seen before.
In addition, we get the opportunity to meet not only people from our region or from the United States, but from around the world! The PACK EXPO show had LPS Packaging Specialists in conversation with our neighbors from Illinois and Ohio, from those packaging on both the East and West Coast and from packagers as far away as Italy, Africa and Germany. PACK EXPO truly affords all exhibitors a look at packaging from a global perspective. It is the gathering of all these different products, packages and visions from around the world that make the week special for us.
As the show comes to a close, we have a long list of people, some familiar, some brand new, that we will be talking to in the coming weeks. We hope to add many to our growing family of customers that allow us to join in their own successes. Finally, a special thank you to PMMI, the PACK EXPO staff and everyone working McCormick Place, who helped not only make this show another great success, but also ensured that it ran smoothly for those of us exhibiting and all of the people coming to see us. If you did not get a chance to attend PACK EXPO in Chicago, or if you did attend but could not make it to the booth (we know, the show is HUGE!), feel free to give LPS a call to discuss your packaging project.
PACK EXPO International moves to Las Vegas in 2015, and LPS is already looking forward to another great show.
